Scripts is a journal of narrative & lyric health at the University of Houston’s Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine. The journal publishes writing by medical students, local physicians, and other Houston community members, with a focus on creative work embodying the intersection of medicine and the humanities. The Journal is edited and compiled by the current Inprint Narrative & Lyric Health Fellows.
The Inprint Narrative & Lyric Health Fellowship at the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine assigns two creative writing teaching fellows to the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine (TJFFCOM). The fellows help integrate literature and creative writing into the medical school curriculum, teach skilled use of narrative, and promote cultural curiosity and creative communication to future healthcare workers, in the interest of improved health outcomes for patients and practitioners.
